Caroline has been dancing for almost 30 years and teaching for over 15. Over the years she has studied Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop and Musical Theatre. She is also a student member at Broadway Dance Center in NYC where she attends classes to keep up with the latest techniques and trends. She has studied under Frank Hatchett, Slam, Q, as well as Jeff Shade, and many other wonderful choreographers. She has choreographed for musicals arranged by the Liberty Partnership Coordinator at Binghamton High School. And in 2005, she created the Broome Community College Dance Club and choreographed for it regularly. Caroline was also a member of NADAA (National Association of Dance and Affiliated Arts, Inc.) from 2007-2009. In 2010, Caroline joined the local performing group, the Rock Bottom Players, as a featured dancer and choreographer. Also in 2010, she joined the American Association of Dance Instructors and was a Delegate for New York State for National Dance Week. Throughout 2013 and 2014, Caroline was a Dance Team Coach for the Middle and High Schools in the Union Endicott School District. Caroline has also served as a judge for competitions held at Binghamton University.
Emily has been dancing for almost 25 years. Throughout her years she has studied Classical Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip-Hop. At the age of 14, she began teaching. Emily has been involved in the competition scene for many years and has competed at both Regional and National levels. Emily has attended many workshops sponsored by NADAA where she has studied with Tony Bradford, Jeff Shade and Justine Colon, among many others. In 2005 & 2006, Emily performed with a local dance group at the YESCAP functions hosted by Senator Tom Libous. In 2009, Emily became a student member of Broadway Dance Center in NYC where she studied with legendary Jazz teacher and choreographer, Frank Hatchett as well as Comtemporary teacher, Slam. And in 2010, Emily joined the American Association of Dance Instructors. Also in 2010, she joined the local performing group, the Rock Bottom Players, as a featured dancer and choreographer. Emily has also been featured in different news specials showcasing local arts performances and various festivals at Binghamton University. Throughout 2013 and 2014, Emily was a Dance Team Coach for the Middle and High Schools in the Union Endicott School District. Emily has also served as a judge for competitions held at Binghamton University.
Many of our BCDC Alumni have gone on to further their dance education at prestigious universities, such as SUNY Oswego, Penn State and Marymount Manhattan.
